In Firefly Glau was in a position to display not just her acting skills but also her fighting skills. Glau could utilize her athletic capabilities since she was trained to be an assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since she was as a young girl. She also has studies in tango and flamenco but it was a fractured toe that put her off dancing. Firefly featured only one episode however it was an enormous success. Whedon returned to it after a few years. Summer Glau kept on getting an excellent job.
