
Bellamy Young was born Amy Maria Young in the month of February, 1970."1" She's an American performer, actress in the field of production, acting, and singing famous for her role on the show Melody "Mellie," Grant in ABC's Scandal, 2012-2018. The actress was awarded her 2014 Critics'' Choice Television award for best supporting actress in the drama series. In addition, she appeared as a star in the Fox series Prodigal Son (1919-2021). Young started her career as an actor in the theatre. Her Broadway debut on stage in 1997 in the role of Mary in the original cast. Also, she performed Off-Broadway in Stephensondheim's show Merrily We Roll Along (1994) as well as in the musical of Randy Newman Faust (1995-1996). 3][10] She made her debut on TV in the year 1995 in the role of her character, Dr. Courtney Evans, in her role as a frequent guest in the NBC soap series Another World. Between 1997 and 1998,, she guest starred in two roles in the show Law & Order. The year 1999 saw her debut in film with tiny roles in the crime thriller Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies. She began guest-starring on a number of television dramas and comedies during the decade of 2000. They included The Drew Carey Show and The X Files.
