Sadoski began his stage work on stage as an actor's assistant to Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production of the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically-acclaimed play This is Our Youth. It was the first of many productions by the theatre company based in New York. He has performed in many Off-Broadway and Broadway productions. He also was a part of numerous regional theatre productions. He played the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's play Reasons to be Beautiful at the MCC Theatre with his Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a sold-out Off Broadway run, it was transferred to Broadway in April 2009. It was nominated for three Tony Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. [6] Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for his role in bringing about the critically acclaimed change in tone in reasons to be beautiful from the earlier work of the playwright, by saying: "His own thoughtfulness and kindness helped me not rely on any of the plays I've written prior to that. My plays conclude with a dark tone. Though I believed that gray was real, he showed me that there are many hues of life. He played the role in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For his performance, he was awarded an Obie Award as well as an Lucille Lortel Award. After a sell-out Off-Broadway show in November 2011, the play was transferred to Broadway and was given the award of the distinction of Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller, Edie Falco, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alison Pill in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves
